Good Evening Families,

This is Mrs. Lee with your weekly email. I want to thank everyone for coming to our 2nd-4th graders' Winter Concert last night. It was so nice to see everyone. Next week is a short week. We have Grandparents' Day on Tuesday from 7:50 - 9:15. As of now we have over 200 RSVPs for this event! We are so excited to welcome that many supportive Grandparents'. Please be sure to tell them that they will report to the cafeteria at 7:50 and eat with a light breakfast until 8:15. At that time the children will go to class to take attendance and put away their things. The Grandparents will remain in the cafeteria. Around 8:45 the children will all come back to the cafeteria and we will have a short program. When that has finished the Grandparents are welcome to leave to they may take a moment to see their grandchild's classroom. There isn't an additional program in the classrooms. At 9:15, we will need to get started with our learning day and it will conclude Grandparents' Day. We will not be excusing any child to leave with their Grandparent.

On Wednesday we will have The Polar Express Day! Students are encouraged to wear school appropriate pajamas to school. We will then start winter break on Thursday the 22nd. School resumes for students on Friday, Jan. 6th 2023.

For anyone who is interested in a Part-Time position for Windemere, please look online at akronschools.com at the posting for a Family Liaison. I will be conducting interviews in January to fill this very important position.
